About Repsol Fanatic

My Photo
I am a self confessed Repsol Fanatic. I live in South London England (AKA Great Britain , UK or United Kingdom!) I have always liked the Repsol MotoGP bikes and decided to buy a replica when I grew bored of my 2007 CBR600RR. I bought a 2009 CBR1000RR in June 2009 and have steadily modified it to enhance this fine bike. The enhancements bring out the racing pedigree using HRC parts, Akropovic and many other respected racing brands. This blog is a record of the work I have done on the bike and any furure plans. If you haven't tried a a 2008-2011 CBR1000RR, I would highly recommend a test ride. You won't be disappointed!

New items ordered

2012 has started and have ordered some new items:

Clutch adjuster to match a new black theme. As always, lighter than stock.
Black fuel cap bolts to suit the new black theme

I have also bought a 2012 CBR1000RR top yoke. Honda has made these black for 2012 which is where my idea of the black fixings.

I have sourced a set of Ten Kate velocity stacks. I figure that if they are good enough for Johnny Rae then they are good enough for me! I also wonder if these will be used in the forthcoming Gresini Honda CRT bike.

I have also sourced another set of brand new Repsol fairings. I will update them with the 2011 stickers and fit the black subframe so it will look like the 2011 model (only better!)
